The Independent Living Fund protest outside Westminster Abbey last Saturday. Protesters managed to stage a 'Spot the Ball' competition using some of the (many) members of the police force.

This Police Officer got well and truly stickered during Pride London 2013 as he kept the peace on Oxford Street, actually he didn't have much to do apart from look after a young man overcome by the heat.

There was a 'party' to celebrate the death of Margaret Thatcher, it was a bit of a dismal, damp affair with no real trouble and all a bit sad really. Anyone under 35 shouldn't have been there really as they haven't a clue about those times really. Don't want to go back there thank-you very much.

Boicie (John Challis)and Del Boy (Impersonator) were amongst the throng of celebrities opening the Ideal Home Show at earls Court. Melinda Messenger was there to cut the tape and everyone wore a red nose at some point .

Ben Helfgott a Holocaust survivor holds a candle on Holocaust Memorial Day. The event was held on the Millenium Bridge in London 2013. Using the theme 'Build a Bridge' the small and dignified event was a reminder to those who think that genocide can't happen on this scale; that it can and it doesn't need much for people to descend to such acts.

The London Ice Sculpting Festival took place in Canary Wharf at the weekend. Some fascinating sculptures and artists from all over the world. I thought the one above had a bit of Eric Gill about it. Very good work and a freezing cold day!

The Lions Part mummers perform their Twelfth Night celebrations on Bankside outside The Globe Theatre today, 6th January 2013. The Holly Man arrived by boat and Beelezebub, Father Christmas and various other characters performed songs and traditional wassailing. A great time was had by all. Wassail!

Santacon hit London yesterday and many Santas were covering the streets of Leicester Square with Red and White and many a 'Ho, Ho, Ho'. An anti Fracking march took place in London yesterday and the protest ended up outside Parliament where they assembled a mock rig. Lots of people attended, young and old. The tourists outside Downing Street looked bewildered but amused by it all. No more 'Fracking' jokes though please, every hack thought it was 'fracking' cold etc, etc, etc.
