It was nice to see my picture of the Hungarian right wing group Jobbik when they were trapped inside Holborn Station on Sunday (26th January 14). This was the front page of the Huffington Post Uk.
More of these would be good!

Parts of London were very solemn with the passing of Nelson Mandela. These were flowers next to the bust of Mandela on London's Southbank.

Anti Thatcher 'party' Trafalgar Square. Matthew Chattle News Photography London

© Matthew Chattle News Photography London

There was a 'party' to celebrate the death of Margaret Thatcher, it was a bit of a dismal, damp affair with no real trouble and all a bit sad really. Anyone under 35 shouldn't have been there really as they haven't a clue about those times really. Don't want to go back there thank-you very much.

Funeral Baroness Thatcher. Matthew Chattle News Photography London

© Matthew Chattle News Photography London

I was at Ludgate Hill for the funeral of Baroness Thatcher, not a big fan of hers back in the 70s and 80s but dying is dying so it was a solemn occasion, if a trifle over priced. But I don't think there'll be another like it in my life time, so I was there.

Keep Calm...and save Lewisham A&E protest. Matthew Chattle News Photography London

© Matthew Chattle News Photography London

Don't keep calm, get angry and save Lewisham A&E. Nice use of humour (and the ubiquitous 'Keep Calm' slogan) for the protest held a few weeks back in Lewisham. Very dignified and peaceful and very big protest march.

Send in the Clowns, there ought to be clowns, don't worry, they're here....in Dalston, about 60 of them. The Joseph Grimaldi memorial service is held for the 67th year at the Holy Trinity Church in Dalston. Clowns, worshippers and photographers were out in force at this delightful event.

Holocaust Memorial Day. Build a Bridge. Ben Helfgott holds a candle on the Millenium Bridge. London 2013. Matthew Chattle News Photography London.

© Matthew Chattle News Photography London

Ben Helfgott a Holocaust survivor holds a candle on Holocaust Memorial Day. The event was held on the Millenium Bridge in London 2013. Using the theme 'Build a Bridge' the small and dignified event was a reminder to those who think that genocide can't happen on this scale; that it can and it doesn't need much for people to descend to such acts.

London Snow January 2013. Matthew Chattle NewsPhotography London

The snow hit London this weekend and as usual caused chaos and some opportunities for photography. Nothing more fun than taking photographs at this time of year, it doesn't happen very often so you have to take advantage.
